Understanding “Colorism” in India: The Complexities of Skin Complexion

This study focuses on the discriminations done on the basis of skin complexion, which is a persistent problem in India. Definitions of beauty that are socially and culturally constructed and based on skin complexion reflect western realities and uphold beauty standards that shape the beliefs and practices around fair skin color for not only Women but also Men. Through media such as movies, music, advertisements, cosmetics, marriage and more, people have grown accustomed to Colorism and normalized the prejudice against skin color. The market's increasing interest in fairness products is proof of this. Unfortunately in India, skin color discrimination has become so commonplace that people are not willing to face it, accept it, or discuss it openly. Instead, they are welcoming it wholeheartedly and becoming fixated on using bleaches, beauty products and medical procedures to lighten their skin tone. Even though we live in the twenty-first century, people still prefer lighter skin colour over darker ones and it is quite unsettling that stereotypes about dark-skinned people are still prevalent in India. One form of this type of prejudice is "Colorism" or "Shadeism," which refers to discrimination against someone based on their skin color or complexion. Colorism has a long history that is hard to eradicate, not just in India but throughout the entire world.

The situation has gotten worse in the modern world because colorism is now endangering society by disguising itself as a number of factors. By examining the elements that act as a catalyst for the spread of Colorism in India, this research aims to understand how colorism impacts Indians' mentalities and how it impacts both individuals and society as a whole.

Plant-Based Natural Products: Novel Isolation, Characterization, and Therapeutic Applications

Plant-derived natural products continue to serve as a cornerstone in the search for bioactive compounds with promising therapeutic effects. This research sheds light on emerging techniques for isolating and characterizing these complex phytochemicals from a wide array of botanical sources. As the need for safe, sustainable, and effective alternatives to synthetic pharmaceuticals grows worldwide, scientists are intensifying their efforts to explore the pharmacological profiles of plant-based molecules—particularly for their anti-inflammatory, anticancer, antimicrobial, and neuroprotective properties. The integration of cutting-edge tools like NMR spectroscopy, liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC-MS), and metabolomic profiling has significantly enhanced the precision with which these compounds are identified and structurally understood. In parallel, their therapeutic value is being systematically investigated through laboratory assays, animal studies, and clinical trials. This study captures recent advancements and emphasizes the critical role of interdisciplinary collaboration in transforming plant-based compounds into viable drug candidates for future healthcare solutions.

Community–Based Disaster Risk Reduction: Evaluating the effectiveness of participatory approaches in Nigerian Community

This research assesses the performance of community-based disaster risk reduction (CBDRR) using participatory methods in Nigerian communities. A multi-phase approach was used consisting of household survey, focus group discussion, and simulation drills in flood- and drought-prone areas. Change in awareness level, level of preparedness, and collective response capacity before and after participatory interventions were analysed. The study indicate that communities that participated in participatory mapping, early warning dissemination, and joint contingency planning increased in preparedness indicators by 42% relative to control groups. In addition, simulation exercises confirmed that communities with active CBDRR were more coordinated with improved evacuation times. These findings not only validate participatory approaches as local resilience-building mechanisms, but also reduced external intervention in case of disaster shocks. The study re-emphasises the need to include bottom-up strategies in the disaster management framework in Nigeria as a sustainable means for effective risk reduction.

Coordination chemistry has undergone significant expansion in recent years, driven by innovations in ligand architecture, synthetic methodologies, and advanced characterization techniques. The design of metal complexes with tailored geometry, electronic properties, and functional groups has enabled enhanced performance in both catalytic and medicinal applications. In catalysis, transition metal complexes have demonstrated remarkable activity and selectivity in processes such as cross-coupling, olefin polymerization, oxidation, and CO₂ conversion, often under mild and sustainable conditions. Advances in bioinorganic chemistry have facilitated the development of metal-based drugs, particularly for anticancer, antimicrobial, and diagnostic purposes, by exploiting the unique reactivity, redox behavior, and targeting capabilities of metal centers. State-of-the-art computational tools and spectroscopic methods have deepened the understanding of structure–function relationships, enabling rational design strategies. This review consolidates recent developments in coordination chemistry, emphasizing the interplay between ligand design, synthesis, mechanistic insights, and practical applications. The integration of green chemistry principles and nanostructured frameworks is also discussed as a pathway toward environmentally friendly and multifunctional coordination complexes.

Role of Artificial Intelligence in Optimizing Renewable Energy Systems

The incorporation of renewable energy into worldwide power systems is crucial for attaining sustainable development objectives and alleviating climate change. Nonetheless, renewable sources like solar and wind are intrinsically unpredictable and intermittent, presenting issues for grid stability, energy forecasting, and storage optimisation. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become a disruptive catalyst in tackling these difficulties by providing sophisticated solutions in prediction, automation, and optimisation throughout the renewable energy value chain. This chapter examines the function of AI in improving renewable energy systems, emphasising its applications in generation forecasting, smart grid administration, predictive maintenance, energy storage, and demand-side optimisation. Machine learning and deep learning algorithms have markedly enhanced forecasting precision, facilitating more dependable integration of renewable resources into power grids. AI-powered smart grids provide real-time equilibrium of supply and demand, whilst predictive maintenance frameworks minimise downtime and operational expenses for solar panels, wind turbines, and hydropower facilities. Moreover, AI optimises energy storage systems by regulating battery cycles and forecasting ideal charging and discharging intervals, thus enhancing efficiency and longevity. Case studies, such as Google DeepMind’s AI-driven wind energy scheduling and India’s AI-enhanced solar forecasts, demonstrate the concrete advantages of AI in renewable integration. The report highlights constraints include substantial capital expenditures, reliance on data, cybersecurity risks, and the necessity for specialised skills. Nonetheless, the potential of AI is vast, with forthcoming prospects in decentralised microgrids, blockchain-facilitated peer-to-peer trading, and hybrid AI-quantum systems. The findings indicate that AI is not just an auxiliary tool but a vital catalyst in expediting the shift to carbon-neutral energy systems. AI significantly aids in attaining global sustainability and energy security objectives by facilitating intelligent, resilient, and adaptive renewable energy systems.

अधिगम के क्षेत्र में बोधात्मक पठन जिसे हम पठन बोध भी कहते है एंव भाषा प्रवीणता दो ऐसे महत्वपूर्ण घटक हैं जो विद्यार्थीयों की शैक्षिक उपलब्धि को बहुत प्रभावित करते हैं। इस क्षेत्र में पूर्व में किये गये अध्ययन से इनकी महत्ता एंव इनका शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में क्या प्रभाव पड़ता है इस विषय में भी पता चलता है। इन दोनो का विद्यार्थीयों के जीवन में बहुत महत्व है। यह उनके अधिगम क्षेत्र को मजबूत बनाते एंव उनके मस्तिष्क में ज्ञानवर्धक नये विचार उत्पन्न करते हैं। इससे विद्यार्थीयों के ज्ञान में वृद्धि होती है एंव बोध का स्तर उच्च होता है जिससे उन्हें अपनें अध्ययन कार्य में मदद मिलती है। यह अध्ययन विद्यार्थीयों के बोधात्मक पठन भाषा प्रवीणता और शैक्षिक उपलब्धि के मध्य सम्बंध पर उनकी क्या धारणाएः है इसकी व्याख्या करता है कि भाषा केवल संचार का माध्यम नही है बल्कि यह सोचने समझने और सीखनें की प्रक्रिया का आधार भी है। इस अध्ययन का उद्देश्य विद्यार्थीयों के दृष्टिकोण से यह जनना है कि उनका बोधात्मक पठन एंव भाषा प्रवीणता किस प्रकार उनके शैक्षिक प्रदर्शन को प्रभावित करते है। नमूनें के तौर पर इस अध्ययन में कानपुर नगर के कक्षा-6 से कक्षा- 10 तक के 30 विद्यार्थीयों का चयन किया गया जिन पर स्वः निर्मित उपकरण से परीक्षण किया गया है। इस अध्ययन में साक्षात्कार फोकस समूह चर्चा एंव विषयगत विश्लेषण के माध्यम से प्रदत का संकलन किया गया है। इसमें विद्यार्थीयों के साथ-साथ 10 शिक्षकों एंव 10 अभिभावकों के विचार भी एकत्र किये गये है जिससे विद्यार्थीयों पर इन घटकों के प्रभाव का पता लगाया जा सके।

कश्मीर नीतिः अनुच्छेद 370 हटने के बाद की स्थिति

भारत के संघीय ढांचे में जम्मू-कश्मीर एक विशेष संवैधानिक स्थिति वाला राज्य था, जिसे भारतीय संविधान के अनुच्छेद 370 के तहत अस्थायी प्रावधान के रूप में रखा गया था। 5 अगस्त 2019 को केंद्र सरकार द्वारा इस अनुच्छेद को निरस्त कर दिया गया, जिससे जम्मू-कश्मीर का विशेष दर्जा समाप्त हो गया और इसे दो केंद्रशासित प्रदेशों जम्मू-कश्मीर तथा लद्दाख में विभाजित किया गया। इस निर्णय ने भारत की कश्मीर नीति में एक ऐतिहासिक परिवर्तन किया। यह शोध-पत्र अनुच्छेद 370 के हटने के बाद कश्मीर की राजनीतिक, सामाजिक, आर्थिक तथा सुरक्षा स्थिति का विश्लेषण करता है। साथ ही यह अध्ययन इस कदम के क्षेत्रीय और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय प्रभावों को भी रेखांकित करता है।
