Abstract

There has been a steady escalation in population of India. Increase in population brings array of problems in the economy, shortage of food, poverty, limited resource allocation to name a few. Providing basic necessities and amenities to such a large number of populations become an uphill task. Therefore, government focuses on generating employment as decrease in unemployment often results in income generation, a better standard of living and fosters an environment where individuals flourish and hence familiarity with the opportunities provided by the various agencies is crucial for anybody who is in search of employment and better pay. Numerous agencies provide employment services; therefore, this study aims to aware its readers regarding various employment generation programmes implemented in India.
