Abstract

India has a diverse culture and it has people from all walks of life coming and living together with communal harmony. In the current scenario, we are looking that our society is divided into religion and caste and people are talking about personal interests only. It's high time now that we need to promote fundamental duties of our constitution to safeguard our culture, maintain unity and integrity of nation, and promote social responsibility among our citizens. Promotion of fundamental duties and responsibilities can reduce some social injustices, communal hatred and bigotry. It brings people from all walks of life together. Fundamental duties serve as a reminder to the citizens that while enjoying their rights, they should also be conscious of duties they owe to their country, their society and to their fellow citizens.
