Teaching with a Sense of Humor in the Digital Era: Enhancing Student Engagement and Learning Outcomes
Abstract
In the age of digital learning, incorporating humor in teaching can be an effective strategy to engage students and enhance their learning experience. This paper examines the benefits of using humor in teaching and provides practical strategies for educators to incorporate humor in their online teaching practices. The paper also explores the potential drawbacks of using humor in the classroom and offers suggestions for how to avoid crossing the line into inappropriate or offensive territory. Ultimately, this paper argues that using humor can improve the classroom atmosphere, foster a positive learning environment, and increase student motivation and engagement.
